±3 °C temperature stability

Temperature fluctuations must be minimal to ensure that the quality of sensitive substances is preserved. Liebherr refrigerators have an impressive maximum deviation of just ±3 °C from the set temperature. This not only maintains the storage climate, but also the value of your stored goods.

Compliance with the ATEX Directive

Liebherr laboratory equipment conforms to EN/IEC 60079-0 or EN-IEC 60079-7 and complies with EU Directive 2014/34/EU (“ATEX Directive”). Classification of the interior to <Ex> II 3 G Ex ec IIC T6 (declared as Zone 22) makes them suitable for flammable substances in closed containers that could form explosive atmospheres.

+2 °C SafetyDevice

If the temperature falls below +2 °C due to a malfunction while the temperature setting is at +5 °C or higher, the SafetyDevice takes control, stabilising the temperature, activating the alarm and protecting the contents from freezing. At colder settings, this activation threshold decreases relatively with the temperature setting.

Retrofittable WiFi/LAN interface

This is how easy it is to network a Liebherr: With the retrofittable WiFi and LAN interface, appliances can be effortlessly connected to external systems, such as SmartMonitoring from Liebherr. With the digital monitoring solution, the storage temperature is controlled and documented conveniently and securely via the subsequently set up interface.

Mechanical lock

All professional Liebherr appliances are equipped with a mechanical lock with two keys for the storage of temperature-sensitive products. This way you can be sure that no unauthorised hands can access your stored goods.

Easy to clean interior

The plastic inside container is made of polystyrene: a fully recyclable, robust, and odourless plastic. Manufactured seamlessly from one piece, it has no hidden dirt traps and the large corner radii can be cleaned quickly and easily. The perfect combination of sustainability and hygiene.

Alarm relay

In the event of an alarm, the responsible control centre is informed immediately, usually through connection to the building control system. You can define in advance which alarms are to be forwarded, as well as set how long the forwarding remains active and whether a reminder should be sent after the alarm acknowledgement. This allows you to react immediately in critical situations.

Ten years spare parts availability

Sustainable means the appliance is not only environmentally friendly and economical, but also durable. To ensure that you can enjoy your Liebherr appliance for a long time, Liebherr guarantees spare parts availability of at least ten years. Although we do everything we can to ensure that spare parts are not needed in the first place.

Additional access port for calibration

An additional feedthrough can be retrofitted for regular calibrations or measurements. For this purpose, a hole is drilled for a cable inlet with a maximum diameter of 40 mm at a specially designated location.

Height-adjustable feet

With height-adjustable feet as an accessory, the height of the appliance can be adjusted to your needs. For example, you could raise your professional appliance to clean under it more easily.

Alarm test

An alarm is only ever any good if it can be triggered. The alarm test can be used to check the functionality of the internal and possibly an externally connected alarm device. The cooling of the appliance is not interrupted during the test run, so you can arrange an emergency simulation and rehearse with your team as you please.

Antibacterial lever handle

A benefit for users but a bane for germs: The easy-turn handle mechanism makes opening the door effortless. It contains special antimicrobial substances that reduce bacteria by up to 99.99%*. Regular and time-consuming disinfection is not necessary. This means the appliance is extremely safe even if many people have access to it. *According to ISO 22196:2011

Calibration function

Due to operational requirements and application-specific conditions, it is possible to deviate the temperature of the interior from the set temperature to a storage temperature determined with calibrated thermometers. These deviations can be adjusted by the calibration function. For the secure feeling of cooling at precise temperatures.

Interchangeable door hinge

Liebherr appliances are fitted with a right-hand door hinge as standard. Without much effort – and without any additional parts – the door hinge can be changed to the left. This allows you maximum flexibility when choosing your installation location.

Replaceable door seal

Save time and money: Liebherr's plug-in door seals can be easily replaced. If a seal is damaged, you can replace it yourself without any tools.

Cleanroom compatible

Liebherr fridges and freezers in the new scientific line have been tested for use in cleanrooms in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14644. As a result, an additional risk assessment by the customer to determine cleanroom suitability is no longer necessary. This saves time and money.

Clear appliance information

All information about the appliance should be there exactly when you need it. That's why every Liebherr has its serial and service number as well as the model designation on the display, where it can be easilyy read. Frustrated searches or even having to clear the interior to be able to read off the important codes are now a thing of the past.

Demo mode

For training purposes or exhibitions, the functionalities of the appliance can be simulated in demo mode without having to operate the appliance. This saves time and money as the cooling function is not needed.

Feedthrough for external sensors

To additionally control the storage temperature with the help of a separate sensor, wiring from the outside to the inside is required. The cable feeding offers a clean and professional solution here. The integrated opening allows connection without drilling holes or breaking the door seal.

Hidden customer menu

Protected, secure, simple: The hidden customer menu provides users with status information about the appliance or allows them to make detailed appliance settings, such as resetting to factory settings. Since this information and the settings are located on a separate, code-protected menu level, unwanted changes or manipulation are avoided.

Hidden technician menu

The hidden service menu allows individual configuration of the appliance, such as alarm sound on/off, adjustment of target value ranges or changes to automatic defrosting. By making technical fine adjustments, the appliance can be adapted to your specific needs.

Intuitive menu navigation

Convenience at your fingertips: Read out the appliance status from the control panel integrated flush in the door without needing to open it. The menu guidance is self-explanatory and is controlled by three touch buttons.

Almost maintenance free

IEC 61010-2-011 Standard

Liebherr refrigerators and freezers specially developed for storing temperature-sensitive products are CE safety-compliant. This ensures that all mechanical and electrical requirements for injury-free operation are met – and that you and your team are kept safe.

Power failure info

If the power supply has been interrupted due to a fault, the power failure info appears when the power is restored. This reports that the appliance was temporarily without power and details which maximum temperature was reached during this time. This allows you to assess whether a loss of quality is to be expected due to the power failure.

Recommended cleaning products and disinfectant

Liebherr appliances are designed to have a product lifetime of 15 years. To maintain this, cleaning and disinfecting agents that have been tested by Liebherr for safe use are recommended separately, or in the manual. This way you can be sure that you are not harming your appliance by mistake when you are actually trying to take care of it.

Reminder function

The reminder function reminds you when the next basic cleaning or calibration is due. The interval can be selected from predefined intervals and set directly on the appliance. Leaving you to focus solely on your valuable work.

Self-closing door < 90°

Carry out routine work in comfort; safety back-up in case anything is missed: From an opening angle of approx. 90°, the appliance door remains open and facilitates loading and unloading as well as cleaning. Below approx. 90°, it closes by itself so that the appliance does not accidentally stand open. This keeps the temperature stable and preserves the quality of your stored substances.

Settings with password protection

All settings that influence the function or control of the appliance can be secured by password. This means that the contents are optimally protected from unwanted changes or manipulation to the storage conditions.

Side-by-side set

The accessory kit provides a neat and secure solution for lining up multiple appliances. The units are firmly connected to each other via a profile rail so that they form a seamless front and cannot slip. Fixing them also guarantees the recommended distance and prevents condensation building up between the appliances.

Sturdy castors

With retrofittable castors, professional equipment for storing temperature-sensitive products remains extremely mobile. This allows you to change the installation location at any time or simply move the appliance for easier cleaning.

Min./max. temperature recording

Always keep an eye on the temperature: Min./max. temperature recording stores the minimum and maximum temperature values of the interior that have occurred from a defined start time and shows them clearly in the display. This way you can be sure that, up until the moment you read off the values, the storage temperatures were always within the tolerated limits.

Liebherr professional appliances are equipped with molded inner liners, with rounded corners and no hidden dirt-traps, making the appliances easier to clean. All appliances are designed and certified according NSF and ETL Sanitation standards.

Electronic Control

The easy to use electronic control system is equipped with default temperature range and humidity control programs, and controls the energy-saving defrost function as required. The integrated min/max logger records and stores the interior temperature for HACCP-compliant documentation at regular intervals. In cases of temperature deviations, the electronic control system triggers a visual and audible door alarm, thus protecting your products. The sturdy membrane keyboard is dirt resistant and easy to clean.
