+2 °C SafetyDevice

If the temperature falls below +2 °C due to a malfunction while the temperature setting is at +5 °C or higher, the SafetyDevice takes control, stabilising the temperature, activating the alarm and protecting the contents from freezing. At colder settings, this activation threshold decreases relatively with the temperature setting.

NoFrost technology

With professional laboratory appliances from Liebherr, defrosting is no longer necessary. Any moisture that occurs is bound by the fan-assisted cooling, and needs-based defrosting phases drive even the last moisture particles out of the interior. For convenient, safe, and ice-free storage.

Easy to clean interior

The plastic inside container is made of polystyrene: a fully recyclable, robust, and odourless plastic. Manufactured seamlessly from one piece, it has no hidden dirt traps and the large corners can be cleaned quickly and easily. The perfect combination of sustainability and hygiene.

Alarm relay

In the event of an alarm, the responsible control centre is informed immediately, usually through connection to the building control system. You can define in advance which alarms are to be forwarded, as well as set how long the forwarding remains active and whether a reminder should be sent after the alarm acknowledgement. This allows you to react immediately in critical situations.

Additional access port for calibration

An additional feedthrough can be retrofitted for regular calibrations or measurements. For this purpose, a hole is drilled for a cable inlet with a maximum diameter of 40 mm at a specially designated location.

Accurate 1-point calibration

The laboratory appliances with electronic controls have a 1-point calibration function for extremely accurate temperature control. This permits compensation between the set temperature and the actual internal temperature. The correction value can be adjusted in increments of 0.1 K.

Intuitive menu navigation

Self-explanatory, convenient, and clear: Seamlessly integrated into the front, the control panel shows detailed appliance information and your current appliance status on a large display, which is colour-coded according to the category. The menu navigation is self-explanatory and is controlled by “touch and swipe”.

Antibacterial lever handle

A benefit for users but a bane for germs: The easy-turn handle mechanism makes opening the door effortless. It contains special antimicrobial substances that reduce bacteria by up to 99.99%*. Clear appliance information

All of the information about the appliance should be there exactly when you need it. That's why every Liebherr has its serial and service number as well as the model designation on the display, where it can be easily read. Frustrated searches or even having to clear the interior out to be able to read the information are now a thing of the past.

Interchangeable door hinge

Liebherr appliances are fitted with a right-hand door hinge as standard. Without much effort – and without any additional parts – the door hinge can be changed to the left. This allows you maximum flexibility when choosing your installation location.

Digital temperature display

The digital temperature display indicates the refrigerator’s interior temperature to the exact degree. This can be easily read from the outside to give users immediate information and without the need to open the appliance.

SafetyStop

The grid shelf with the pull-out stop ensures stability and a safe working environment: The grid shelf cannot be pulled out by mistake – even if things start to get a little hectic. When stocking or emptying the appliance, it remains reliably fixed in position – and you are spared any mishaps.

Self-closing door < 90° / automatic door-closing at less than 90°

Carry out routine work in comfort; reassurance nothing will be missed: From an opening angle of approx. 90°, the appliance door remains open and facilitates stocking and unloading as well as cleaning. Below approx. 90°, it closes by itself so that the appliance does not remain open accidentally. This keeps the temperature stable and preserves the quality of your groceries.

Settings with password protection

All settings that influence the function or control of the appliance can be secured by password. This means that the contents are optimally protected from unwanted changes or manipulation to the storage conditions.

SmartLock

If a temperature alarm occurred, Liebherr SmartLock automatically locks the door of the appliance so that products with an interrupted cold chain do not accidentally enter circulation. Only authorised persons can unlock the lock again – and make a decision about the condition of the stored substances.

Ten years spare parts availability

Alarm history

In order to be able to evaluate the quality of the stored substances, a clear history of anomalies that have occurred is necessary. The alarm history records important data about the last ten alarms such as date, duration or maximum temperature. This way, you don't rely on your memory to perform the check but rather rely on the facts.

Alarm test

An alarm is only ever any good if it can be triggered. The alarm test can be used to check the functionality of the internal and possibly an externally connected alarm device. The cooling of the appliance is not interrupted during the test run, so you can arrange an emergency simulation and rehearse with your team as you please.

Replaceable door seal

Save time and money: Liebherr's plug-in door seals can be easily replaced. If a seal is damaged, you can replace it yourself without any tools.

Cleanroom compatible

Liebherr fridges and freezers in the new scientific line have been tested for use in cleanrooms in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14644. As a result, an additional risk assessment by the customer to determine cleanroom suitability is no longer necessary. This saves time and money.

Demo mode

For training purposes or exhibitions, the functionalities of the appliance can be simulated in demo mode without having to operate the appliance. This saves time and money as the cooling function is not needed.

Feedthrough for external sensors

To additionally control the storage temperature with the help of a separate sensor, wiring from the outside to the inside is required. The cable feeding offers a clean and professional solution here. The integrated opening allows connection without drilling holes or breaking the door seal.

Hidden customer menu

Protected, secure, simple: The hidden customer menu provides users with status information about the appliance or allows them to make detailed appliance settings, such as resetting to factory settings. Since this information and the settings are located on a separate, code-protected menu level, unwanted changes or manipulation are avoided.

Hidden technician menu

The hidden service menu allows individual configuration of the appliance, such as alarm sound on/off, adjustment of target value ranges or changes to automatic defrosting. By making technical fine adjustments, the appliance can be adapted to your specific needs.

Integrated data logger

To ensure full traceability independent of the monitoring systems, the integrated data logger records the temperature profile, alarm history, and service information for up to five years. The stored data can be read out directly on the appliance via a USB interface.

LightAlarm

In case of an uncontrolled temperature rise, if a door has been left open or there were any other problems, the interior light of the appliance will start flashing. In the case of glass-door appliances, this quickly reveals where action is needed. In the case of solid-door appliances, the flashing interior warns to close the door immediately in order to preserve the storage quality.

Manual defrost start

Doors left open or evaporating substances can cause icing on the evaporator resulting in temperature fluctuations and higher energy consumption. Via menu selection, you can start an automatic defrost to clear the appliance of ice, restoring optimal storage conditions and lower energy consumption.

Almost maintenance free

Saves time, energy, and money: Liebherr’s professional freestanding appliances operate without filters or other components and parts that require regular replacement. Only cleaning and calibration in line with your individual needs are necessary on a regular basis.

Product sensor PT1000

In addition to the standard control sensor, a separate PT1000 sensor is connected to measure a simulated product temperature. The product sensor temperature shown in the display can be calibrated independently, instrument alarms and min./max. limits refer to this value. For greater storage reliability based on real product values.

Recommended cleaning products and disinfectant

Liebherr appliances are designed to have a product lifetime of 15 years. To maintain this, cleaning and disinfecting agents that have been tested by Liebherr for safe use are recommended separately, or in the manual. This way you can be sure that you are not harming your appliance by mistake when you are actually trying to take care of it.

Min./max. temperature recording

Always keep an eye on the temperature: Min./max. temperature recording stores the minimum and maximum temperature values of the interior that have occurred from a defined start time and shows them clearly in the display. This way you can be sure that, up until the moment you read off the values, the storage temperatures were always within the tolerated limits.
